Darin wants to make life in Franklin County more affordable. His plan to bring jobs to Franklin County and boost the local economy includes fully funding our schools, supporting affordable housing, and putting a pause on data center development.

Data Centers

Data centers make big promises, but rarely deliver. A pause on data centers gives us time to make better decisions that ensure Franklin County residents don’t pay the price for big corporations.

Education

Educators cultivate the next generation of Franklin County’s workforce and leaders. Darin believes we can do more to support our teachers and children by fully funding our schools and ensuring teachers make a livable wage.

Community

Our sense of community makes Franklin County special. Darin understands that expanding infrastructure, affordable housing, and broadband reliability, as well as fostering connections between communities, is crucial for healthy, sustainable growth.

DARIN WILDER

Darin is a life-long resident of Franklinton, North Carolina. He is a farmer’s son and a father of two wonderful adult children. In his professional life, Darin secured funding for rural installation of fiber internet in Franklin County. As an accomplished engineer, Darin is a leader at work and in the community.

On any given day, you might find Darin driving around the farm on his Farmall tractor or heading into town to help a friend move furniture.

He’s the type of person who always makes time to help others, whether it’s a meal, a random act of charity, or helping with housing.

For all these reasons and more, Darin is a true reflection of his Franklin County roots.
